The defenders of the corporate-sponsored Windows-clone
interfaces, the GDEs (Graphical Desktops Environments) like
this fellow are so desperate to suppress any criticism of these
poisonous invaders that they are even willing to lie about
the critics.

Nico knows perfectly well that I have no problem with the Linux GUI
at all, that I in fact use one and am using one right now.

My problem is with the massive suites of graphical applications
like KDE and Gnome that run _in_ the GUI and divorce the Linux
user from the basic operating system.

No. Firefox is a graphical application that runs in a GUI. The GUI
consists of a simple window manager, and a mouse (etc.).

GUI means "Graphical User Interface". They've been around for about
40 years.

GDEs are a much newer development. KDE was started in 1996.
Again, this obvious fact: The GDEs run _in_ a GUI.
