Are Global Dimensions only used for General Ledger or can they be used
with AP or AR?

They can be used for reporting all over nav.

you'll see the in customer ledger entries & item Ledger entries & vendor
ledger entries, etc.

Global Dimensions flows to all the posted documents and all Ledger
Entries.
so you can us then in General Ledger as well as with AR and AP.
