Be interesting to see if their NNTP gateway is of any value. Then you can
continue to make sense of the flat-style forums they use.

Shows how Microsoft hasn't a clue about security. They think that they will
wrest control of the microsoft.* newsgroups away from Usenet by hiding them
in forums. Yet Microsoft has no control over what newsgroup that other NNTP
servers choose to continue carrying. Microsoft assumes that making users
register to use the forums will reduce spam and trolls. For spam, blocking
Google Groupers would've eliminate a LOT of noise. For trolls, oh yeah,
like registering for a *free* account is really going to keep them out, uh
huh, for sure.

Probably, no need to have them as the newsgroups are going away in the
next couple of months. If anything, they are on the forums now.

I very much hope so because I have created a filter to kill them
off before they reach my computer and so I haven't seen anything
from them for about a month. Please let me know if they have all
been released from their onerous responsibilities to bully, abuse
and insult all Micro$hit customers. I need to remove that filter
if they no longer exist on this planet.

Are you missing them? I haven't missed them at all. In fact I
was very contented without them.

In my country we don't have anybody in effective power because our
election last Thursday produced nobody with majority seats (326
required to win). So news media is keeping me very busy because
they are more interesting than these newsgroups!

Good; go there and stay there. You've done absolutely nothing useful here.
