Yes.

Select the rows of interest, then Menu: Format/Text Styles ... and from
there it should be clear.

To highlight specific rows (on the left side of the Gantt Chart) in Project
2007, use Format/Text Styles...

Change the "Item to Change" item to "Marked Tasks". Below that, you may
make selections as you wish to format the font and background to your liking.
Click OK.

Next, insert the column "Marked" into your view. Toggle the value of
"Marked" between Yes/No to see the changes. You may use a Maco or other code
to change the value of "Marked" based on logic.
