It's back-illuminated, i.e. is (roughly) 2-3 times as sensitive as a
standard CCD. The dynamic range however is limited.

you've never used any camera in your lifetime. You have a right to whine.

Pure, unadulterated B.S. You are implying regular sensors only have
an efficiency of no more than 33-50%?? Rubbish!

Yes Rich. The quantum efficiency of standard sensors is the the 30%
range.
