I have an e-mail ,currently in 'sent items', which had an error message
during the
original 'send'.
I want now to re-send this e-mail without having to re-type it all.
I cannot see how to get it into a state for re-sending

open it in the sent items folder, click options, resend it.

Or try this: open the message, and then click "Resend Message" on the "Other
Actions" section of the ribbon. (I am in Outlook 2007; you might have to hunt
for it if you're using another version.)

I only recently discovered this, and it's great! Also comes in handy if you
write one email to someone, then want to send a slightly altered version of
it to someone else. You avoid the colour changes, FW: etc. that show up on a
forwarded email.
