Hi
we are also facing the same issue..where the todays IIS logfile is locked and i can not transfer it to other location.

"If the 'Enable Direct Metabase Edit' check box is not already ticked (located
on the web server object's Properties window), the IIS service will have to
be stopped/restarted to move the current days IIS log file. Note: To enable
this IIS edit option also requires a IIS Service restart."

tried above option, but it releases the control over locked file temporarily. is there any way we can remove that lock permanently

If the 'Enable Direct Metabase Edit' check box is not already ticked (located
on the web server object's Properties window), the IIS service will have to
be stopped/restarted to move the current days IIS log file. Note: To enable
this IIS edit option also requires a IIS Service restart.

Move IIS Log files
Hey Guys,

I dont' have a test enviornment to perform this, but i want to be certain
that moving Web Site IIS Log files won't require any form of service/server
restart. I was hoping to perform this during business hours. I'd appreciate
the clarification!

Regards

Edgar
