Good Day,
Is there anyway to "lock" the startup in XP? I noted that virus put programs
in there and if I could lock it......

Lock as in "no entry".This can be done by creating password(s) to the
account.
If lock out of the OS,then youre BIOS has a password availability,look in
security section of the BIOS & read the owners manual.
