There are a few people in my contact list with whom I need to keep in
constant contact. A nice feature would be, for those individuals I trust, to
automatically open email on my desktop, or at least to make the
auto-notification window persistent.

Thanks,

Jeff

Already available. Ask before suggesting.

Use a rule to trigger on those e-mails. In the rule, add the clause to show
the alert window (and you can put whatever you want for the alert message).
Then you'll see when you get those special e-mails and can open them right
from the alert window.
