Is there a way that the presenter can see his notes page on the computer but
not the audience, he would like not to have to print out.

Presenter view in PowerPoint. You have to extend the projector as the
second monitor from the computer's video setup and then select presenter
view from Slide Show, Set Up Show. Note: a presenter remote (mouse) will
not always work with presenter view the same way it would work with the same
slide showing on the projector and on the computer's monitor.
