Temporal licenses in 2008

From: Guillermo Lovato on 14 Apr 2010 15:20 How is the behaviour of temporal licenses with 2008 and 2008R2 as license and terminal servers?. mainly, if i setup a licence server in 2008R2 and don't activate any licenses, what happens when a client connects to the RDS server in case: a) 2008 b) 2008r2 c) 2003 does it give you infinite temporal licenses?, or for how long do the temp licenses are delivered? what happens if later i load good licenses in the TS licensing, when the client connects it replaces the temp license? thanks in advance

From: Guillermo Lovato on 15 Apr 2010 14:49 If a client temp license expires, simply deleting the MSLicensing key will make the client reapply for a temporary license just like previous versions(upto 2003 that i know of) or is this changed in 2008r2? No, a 2003 LS cannot handle 2008 RDS CALs.
