How is the behaviour of temporal licenses with 2008 and 2008R2 as license
and terminal servers?.

mainly, if i setup a licence server in 2008R2 and don't activate any
licenses, what happens when a client connects to the RDS server in case:
a) 2008
b) 2008r2
c) 2003

does it give you infinite temporal licenses?, or for how long do the temp
licenses are delivered?

what happens if later i load good licenses in the TS licensing, when the
client connects it replaces the temp license?

thanks in advance

The same behaviour in all cases: clients receive a temporary
license.

Yes, but never more than one per client

Each temporary license last 90 days.

Yes, clients with a temporary license check on every connection
whether there is a purchased license available, and upgrade
automatically.

If a client temp license expires, simply deleting the MSLicensing key will
make the client reapply for a temporary license just like previous
versions(upto 2003 that i know of) or is this changed in 2008r2?

No, a 2003 LS cannot handle 2008 RDS CALs. The other way around is
fine.
