I have a commodore 64 with a version 2 system board.

I have the top and bottom shielding removed along
with the keyboard and power light.

If I connect the composite video to a monitor and the
power adapter, will the Commodore Basic screen
come up, when the board is powered on?

Can anyone confirm if this works.

Hello Chris,

Yes, the C64 basic screen will come up with the keyboard and
powerlight connectors removed.

It will also startup without the both CIA's (6526) and the SID
(6581).
