I think you are correct. My son loaded a temp monitoring prog. and the temp
reached 65C and rising when it locked-up again.

So what made you conclude that the Feb updates were the culprits? It's
something we see quite often in this forum: Unexplained problems -> must be
caused by a Windows update.
