Hi all,

windows 2003/exchange 2003 Sp2

Due to log space that is almost full, I use the eseutil /mk to check the
checkpoint and moved some log files that are safe to move. Now, the log
files are not trucated when we do a full backup.

How should I fix this problem?

Thank you.

Restore the missing log files you moved to their original location.

Are you saying all works fine but you can no longer flush the logs after
successful backup? Just enable Circular login to free up space , get rid of
from all logs, Stop Circular logging and do full backup. If your backup
program is not flushing the logs try NTbackup to see what happens?

thanks for your help.

Yes. all fine except logs are not trucated. I already moved all old logs
that I moved before to the log folder. Still, no luck.
BTW, If I enalbe circular logging, I need to restart information store
service. How long will it take to flush the old logs? We do a full bacup
everyday and probably we need a circular logging enabled, right?

Thank you.
