I use Windows 7 and have an IMAP email account set up in Outlook 2007. When I
press the delete key the message is deleted and does not appear in the
personal folders Deleted Items folder. It just seems to disappear.

Is there any way the deleted items can be moved to a deleted items folders
as I am worried if I accidently press the delete key I can delete an email by
mistake and then am unable to retrieve it.

Can anyone please help me?

Kind Regards,

Kristy

Replied to your SECOND post. Please note that this is not a chat room - post

Wait for Outlook 2010. IMAP accounts in Outlook prior to that don't use the
Deleted Items folder, but simply mark messages for deletion and show that by
displaying them with an overstrike, provided you're not using the Hide
Messages Marked for Deletion view. In Outlook 2010, IMAP accounts will work
more like other accounts.
