I have a file I created in Word 2007 that when I try to open it says, The
Office Ope XML file xxxxxxxx cannot be opened because there are problems with
the contents. When I hit ok the message says word found unreadable content in
"xxxxxxx". Do you want to recover the contents of this document? If you trust
the source of this document, click Yes. When I click yes it says Office Open
XML file . . cannot be opened because there are porblems with the contents
and the details say whitepace expected. Location: Part: /word/document.xml,
Line: 2,Column:238550. Any suggestion on how to retrieve my file in any
readable format?

Also getting the same.
When I click yes I get 'parts of the document may be missing or ..., and
then again 'the file is corrupt and cannot be opened.'
Tried using an xml editor to open, but no joy, prompted for an external hex
editor, by which point i was deeply confused.
Regards
steve

I am also getting the same. Who can help us? My file was created in March
2008 & modified & saved in April 2008. It has been about 8 months since I
tried to open it. I am using Office Home and Student 2007 WIN32 with
Microsoft Windows Home Premium Edition.
