When I run disc cleanup, there is almost 2GB in the compress old files it
will not remove. Do I have a virus?

If the files got removed, why waste the CPU cycles and disk I/O to compress
files that get deleted? Because compressing old (long since last used)
files does NOT remove it. It does what it says: compresses them.
