Most likely that the installer got some of the way but not all the way.

Personally, I'd reset my C:\php directory and try installing PHP and PEAR again.

Hello Richard,

I was able to do installation now.

I had to change the $prefix directory to c:\php\pear and
I selected system in the beginning of installation, instead of local.

Now I can see the reg file that you mentioned.

I do as I want to be able to access the PEAR repository via my
webservice _AND_ my personal user account.

As it is only for users of the server or on my pc, installing for
system makes sense.
