hmm? Im scary to execute strange commands I find on the net.. what does it
do? Lists repos?? :)

Replaces the repo addresses so instead of zypper and YaST going to
download.opensuse.org and being redirected to a mirror, it will
download from mirrors.kernel.org/opensuse/ . This may or may not be
quicker, depending on how close you are to mirrors.kernel.org, and how
loaded it is, compared to the mirror download.opensuse.org points you
to, and how loaded that one is.

mirrors for openSUSE, and so Novell believes they are trustworthy.
