Uh, did you ever? If so, what did you do to change the settings? If you
just installed Windows you also need to install all the drivers for the
motherboard, video, audio, network devices, etc. Go to the computer
manufacturer's web site and find the appropriate drivers for your computer
model and install them. DO NOT get any drivers from Microsoft Update. If
you did get drivers from that site during an update, roll the drivers back.
If you need further instructions to do that repost.

have you looked under Device manager/sound video gamecontrollers??
Right click the device..properties....driver then click update the driver.

or dig out your installation disks and reinstall the audio drivers

whats the brand name of the pc, what did you change, what happened to make
this change, what brand of audio board do you have, why did you do before
this occurred?
