Regretfully true. I have not called CQ for about 10 - 12 years. I took
my FT290 to France last summer, not a single contact. Lots of noise
and other spurious signals, non of them amateur !

Interested to see that quite a few are qrt..I have been off air for
10 years but seeing psk in action has renewed my enthusiasm and am
thinking about rebuilding my station and using gpsk31 or fldigi
with an ft-897..Anyone tried these ?

I'll add my name to the list. Occasionally active on the air, but 99.9%
brass-pounding these days. I've tried psk31 and used to use other digi
modes, mostly PACTOR a few years ago.
