From: Murray *TMM* on 28 Sep 2005 09:47 Hmm - OK. Sorry you feel that way. There are many of us who have not experienced such problems. I say that not to imply that yours are imagined but to imply that I don't think that there is something systemically wrong with DW8 - at least in those areas. I'm pretty confident that if you opened a trouble ticket you will get some resolution. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Team Macromedia Volunteer for Dreamweaver (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.dreamweavermx-templates.com - Template Triage! http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.macromedia.com/support/search/ - Macromedia (MM) Technotes ================== "jdanser" <someone(a)microsoft.com> wrote in message news:dhe5rt$73s$1(a)forums.macromedia.com... > No, I haven't posted that last error here before. I called MM about my DW8 problems and the engineers I was fwd'd to had me rebuild my site configuration then delete my configuiration folder. then couldn't assist me any further. posted on here, caught a dev's eye and he posted within an hour that my problem is a known DW8 issue.... support had no clue about it. next day they emailed me me another set of steps to try and correct the problem, when I responded how someone in the forums replied about it they said oh well that was a developer and have more current information than us =O

Stephanie, I wish I could help him with his problem but I'm not getting that. Typically when DW mx2k4 or DW8 crashes or won't start for me I just delete the Configuration folder under docs & settings\username\application data\macromedia\dw8\ and then restart DW and it's fine again. I was merely responding to the post above that posting here is useless and he should call, because I had the exact opposite experience only a couple days ago =D |
