interrupt question
If CPU is servicing a pin 5 interrupt in ISR, and there is another interrupt pin 3 (with higher priority) comes in. Will CPU stops servicing a pin 5 interrupt and handles interrupt pin 3 first? Or it will wait until pin 5 ISR is done? please advice. thanks... ... 13 Oct 2006 17:16
powering a LED through the human skin
I am trying to solve a problem of having wires going up to an MP3 player to the earpiece. I also didn't want the weight of batteries, e.g. via a Bluetooth or other wireless head set. I did an experiment where I used conductive paint to mark out some tracks on my skin to replace wires. The conductive paint is very... 1 Nov 2006 09:24
Embedded system user interfaces and configuration management
Hi all, There's a thing that has been bothering me for a long time, and I'm interested in some views from other people in the embedded field. For the past years, I've been working with/for a number of companies on quite a number of embedded systems, often Linux/uClinux based. These devices all had completely d... 15 Oct 2006 13:18
TI in general documentation frustration
larwe wrote: I have this love-hate relationship with TI's documentation. On one hand, once you understand a module, you can use it on any micro. On the other hand, the cross-referenced docs are usually inconsistent and /always/ very confusing. Dear G-d, the TUSB3200A and TAS1020B docs suck in ways you do... 25 Oct 2006 08:42
Watchdog timer promblem in ATmega32
I am trying to change the watchdog prescalar in an ATmega32 application. The data sheet implies that the watchdog timer registers can be written at time with no special requirements. Is this the case? I am finding that the following code works in AVR Studio but not in the hardware. void WatchdogInit(void) { ... 12 Oct 2006 09:44

Pictiva TAB connector
I'm looking at possibly using one of OSRAM's Pictiva OLED displays in a future project but I'm stuck trying to find some sort of connector for the TAB connect on it. It's basically a flex circuit with 31 connection pads on 0.4mm spacing if I've read the rather minal data sheet publically available correctly. I ... 10 Oct 2006 19:25
GPS module with speed out 10 times / sec
Are there any GPS-modules from where it is possible to get out speed more frequently than once / second? - 10 Hz would be the ideal rate. - I'd like to measure speeds on vehicles, typically 50 km/h. Speeds less than 10 km/h or over 150 km/h are not important. - The location information is not important. ... 11 Oct 2006 00:38
