Atmel and GCC Ulf, while we have you "on the line," let me ask another thing... Over the weekend I tried out both ImageCraft C and GCC. (With a small program I got very similar results; I didn't try anything big enough to really bring out a difference.) What impressed me is that AVR Studio comes preconfigured for GCC, and... 10 Aug 2006 01:26
AVR Dragon? Anyone using an AVR Dragon yet? I gather it outputs ISP signals but does not actually have a socket for the device to be programmed; but it has a prototyping area, and you can install a socket, a header, and some jumper wires... ... 7 Aug 2006 07:42
AVR trivia question There isn't a way to specify the fuse bit settings of the Atmel AVR as directives in the assembly language program, is there? Have I overlooked something? It seems awkward to have to begin every program with a comment telling me what boxes to check on the STK500 "Fuses" menu. ... 9 Aug 2006 15:53
MT8888 with 89c51 I Design A Circuit With 8051 And MT8888.This Circuit Is Working With This Way That Write Below. At First I Initialize MT8888 Upon Its Datasheet With 8051 And Then Initialize It For The State That Wait For A Ringing Of Telephone ,I work with INT0 Of 8051 And Connect Interrupt Pin Of MT8888 To INT0 Pin Of 8051. Ther... 6 Aug 2006 05:13
lcd interfacing hi .i m interfacing 16x2 lcd to my P89LPC935 but i m unable to get the desired output.i hav tested many times and also the program is correct as i m able to debug it & observe the output correctly.i hav also replaced my lcd one time. i m using HY-1602F6 lcd module.i hav checked my pin configurations again & again... 12 Aug 2006 09:49
performance enhancements for embedded software Gurus, I would like to know what all areas we should be looking into to increase or improve the performance of an embedded system software dealing with rtos mainly.I am aware am asking a too much generic topic, but I believe the performance enhancement techniques can be generic to a extent. When I say performance ... 6 Aug 2006 06:17
PIC versus AVR I don't want to start a religious war, but could a few knowledgeable people give me their impressions of the relative advantages of PIC vs AVR? Assume that I will be using both, to some extent, for some time, and want to know what their relative advantages are. Throw in MSP430 too if you'd like. I'm mostly u... 10 Aug 2006 16:25
MSP430 question If I wanted to program 14-pin DIP MSP430s, is it as simple as taking an eZ430 target module, removing the surface-mounted MSP430, and wiring a DIP socket to the 14 pin terminals? ... 4 Aug 2006 22:42
TMS375C717 Dear all, Our factory mission is repair systems; today we are working with a Texas Instruments microcontroller marked TMS375c717FNL or TMS375c017. This microcontroller is used on a balance system produced by Sartorius a.g. (Germany company). How I can find information about a old or obsolete TI device? There is n... 31 Jul 2006 04:27
ENC28j60 or CS8900A Hi, I have a microcontroller (ATMega128) and I want to connect it to internet. At first I need a ethernet controller(MAC & PHY ethernet). I have known some ICs: ENC28j60, CS8900 (3v), RTL8019A... I think CS8900A and ENC28j60 are better for my project. but I don't know which of them is better ? Is there any... 1 Aug 2006 14:41 |
