How I can to send commands and parameters from an Beckhoff PLC to an Motion Control Device? I would like to know if existe an library that implement the DSO 402 (DS 301?) on Twincat? Tank you very mutch. Francesco Larizza ... 24 Jan 2006 11:09
Sony Magic Gate Memory Cards
Hello, I hope you can help here. I've just started working for a new employer and one of the first projects I have is to develop and interface/reader for Sony's memory cards. CF and SD cards, IDE and SCSI I've done before and the information was pretty much readily available. In this case however, Sony's prot... 29 Jan 2006 10:52
Polling vs. Interrupts in counting pulses - what is better?
Hi. When counting pulses using a microcontroller (say from an encoder or pulse generator), there are two methods: polling and using interrupts. Two alternative designs can be used (well, at least), one is to have the Microcontroller do it directly, and the other is to use a dedicated chip to do it. The concern is o... 19 Jan 2006 13:57
Ecos, LwIP, PPP and GPRS
Hello, I'm trying to get a GPRS PPP connection going in eCos using the LwIP stack, but no luck so far. It seems that my provider and the LwIP PPP code do not understand each other. I', trying to find examples of correct communication but have had no luck so far and RFC1661 is a bit hard to decode. Does anyone ... 1 Feb 2006 16:40
USB CY7C67300 chip HPI
Hello, Does anyone has experience with the Cypress CY7C67300 USB chip. I want to read it by using the HPI protocol. I have a PCB with a C167 infineon microcontroller connected to this chip. I have tried but I can't get it working. Can anybody give me some hints. Jac. ... 27 Jan 2006 12:55
SD Card - boot sector
Hi guys, I am finding that reading the raw data off an SD in my embedded, that the boot sector is not actually at address 0, but differs from card to card (ie. my 64 MB has the boot sector at 4E00, and my 128 MB at C600). Everything else before this is read as 0's. I am not using any of the secure stuff on t... 23 Jan 2006 22:35
Free FAT12/FAT16/FAT32 filesystem (C)
Google Groups is being recalcitrant these past couple of days, so I have no idea if the world will see this, but I've just released free C source to my embedded FAT filesystem. I've tested this code on a variety of platforms, including ARM, AVR and MSP430. I know there are several such filesystems in the world, b... 13 Jan 2006 18:44
FTDI parts
Wondering if anyone has used any of these parts: http://www.ftdichip.com/FTProducts.htm If yes, how did it go? Any significant problems with operation, availability, support, ...? We're looking to use the FT2232C in the MCU Host Bus Emulation mode to communicate with an FPGA in a different chassis. Thanks,... 23 Jan 2006 23:37
RS232 Voltage Levels
I've got a datasheet for a chip that takes an RS232 serial input with a protocol of 9600,N,8,1. It indicates the voltage level at this input is hardware-selectable to either +/- 12V(as found from a PC serial port), and either normal or inverted TTL level(0-5V). I plan on feeding this chip a TTL level serial stream... 9 Jan 2006 23:15
