ICD 2 for PIC12F509
I'm trying to program/debug an 8 pin PIC12F509 (8 pin version with 8 DIP packaging) with the AC162059 header. The MPLAB IDE claims that the chip is there, and I try and program it and it all claims that it was sucessfull...when in fact the pic wasn't even in the socket. Also, it seems to "simulate" the chip wihou... 20 Apr 2006 10:56
ADS1256 analog to digital converter
I'm having a real heck of a time with this chip, the TI ADS1256 A to D converter. Has anyone else here programmed this device before with a uC .. I am using an atmel atmega 162 . All of my outputs look alive and well, and the ADC sends back semi random data when I attempt to just read a configuration register. If a... 23 Apr 2006 09:51
Tricore: serial download of source code
Hello, I'm a complete newbie to Tricore. For a private project, I'm planning to use it (TC1165), but know very little about it up to now. So before I'm starting with layouting the PCB, I want to check, whether the tools etc. I need are available reasonably priced. As my budget is limited, I'm intending to star... 17 Apr 2006 17:08
Simple "LED driver" chip?
I'm looking for a driver chip to run several "high-current" (20-30mA) LEDs from a single MCU. I've got enough MCU pins for a 1:1 solution, but the current exceeds the MCU ratings for direct connection. There's no shortage of advertisements for LED driver chips like Maxim's MAX6966, which could do the job (via... 13 Apr 2006 19:19
TI MSP430
The TI MSP430 looks like an interesting chip. The low power operation allows 16 bit adc onchip. Now they seem to be doing the sort of things that microchip did in the past such as free seminars and low cost development tools. Like most companies, we have a lot of software written for other microcontrollers,... 12 May 2006 18:52
