Ok, ill try that.. which logs do i delete? all e00*,.logs pus the
res1, res2 etc?

Thx

The checkpoint file and all the logs (e00.chk and e00*.log). In fact, you
may want to just movc them so that you can try a restore to a recovery
server and replay later.

I removed all of them.. however, the backup still failed with the same
error.

After calling MS for a bit.. i found the source of the problem..

Again, I was getting this event ID message: Information Store (3040)
First Storage Group: The backup has stopped with error -521. (EventID
214, ESE)..

The problem was actually with TrendMicro AntiVirus. For some reason,
despite having the checkbox checked in the Trend Web Interface
settings to exclude the exchange data directory, it wasnt excluding
it.. As the minute I turned off the AntiVirus program on the Exchange
server, all was well again.

Thanks for all the help to this point.
