spam percentage
I see, by count, that there are now 1 genuine forran postings per 3 pages of titles. At 30 odd titles per page, that makes it close to a 99% spam proportion.Anybody know how something can be done? Or where to report in Google? Where I've never ever seen a reply in the Help Forum? Repeat: some readers cannot have a... 4 May 2010 00:14
Usage of iso_c_binding
I am trying to get a simple example working to invoke a fortran subroutine from C++. I have based my simple example off of the example provided in 14.10 of "fortran 95/2003 explained" by Metcalf, Reid, and Cohen. Their example C code (I am using C++) was incomplete, so I created my own example, as best I could, bas... 9 Apr 2010 22:17

Do Loops
In thermodynamics we often have to evaluate expressions like the following: Sum_i Sum_k (x_i * x_k * A_ik * (1-K_ik)) where A_ik=sqrt(A_i * A_k) The indices i and k run from 1 to the number of components in a mixture. For a mixture of 200 components (very typical) we often have to do this calculation around ... 8 Apr 2010 13:59

reading through a directory of files with no common denominator
I need to read through a directory of files, that share no difference in their names ... uhmm, they share some differences, but nothing that can be relied upon. It is some measurement data for a base of models, with file names like m1023.dat 4665.dat 4666-1.dat and 184.dat And then the variations ... m1024... 8 Apr 2010 13:59
gfortran included in debian-live "rescue" CD version 5.03
The debian-live "rescue" CD is much more than the usual linux rescue CD. Those of us who date back before the graphic user interface will recognize it as a full-fledged, complete unix system. As of version 5.03, it now includes gfortran. ... 3 Apr 2010 22:30
