I have recently changed my shared hosting company. They have frontpage
extensions installed. I also just upgraded my computer to windows 7
professional. I initally had problems running frontpage 2003 with win 7 . I
am running it in xp mode and have had some issues saving pages . I downloaded
sharepoint designer so that I could work with my website on the server. I did
not change any pages as I just needed to open to check that all folders and
files were there and up. I went back to frontpage and I noticed that now my
database folder is accessible via a url type (fpdb) folder and the tab in the
Site Settings says the tabs under this option are unavailable because the
website is based on sharepoint services . Is this because I opened my web
with sharepoint designer or is the hosting company using sharepoint services.
They claim they are not using sharepoint server services and frontpage
extensions are installed. Now security of my database is corrupted as the
fpdb folder does not work as it should. Help!

Try having your host run a repair / server health check on the FP SE
Then open your online site in FP and try importing your DB again
(to the fpdb folder)
- and check it in Tools Site Settings Databases
