I have just bought an Asus Eee 1005HGo which has an embedded Sim (IMEI
number is printed on a label on the box).

Does anyone know how do I sign up with a mobile broadband provider
e.g. Orange?

I want to use the embedded Sim and not use a dongle

You will probably be able to get a decent SIM only deal if you go into the
shop of the provider you prefer.

The SIM card will be removable. Have a look under the battery; that's
the usual place. The only part that is embedded is the 3G modem.

Indeed, i'd put a free 3pay sim from a Three shop in it, have them add
a ten quid top up for in the Three shop (don't tell them what you are going
to use it for or they may allocate the tenner to a month of Broadband)
and then log on to https://my3.three.co.uk and allocate a fiver of it
to internet monthly.

Also in the 3g modems manager make sure your APN is set to
"3internet" and not Three's bluefenced "three.co.uk" APN
