Hi

I have some MAC /PC adapters I bought a few years ago and forgot all about.
I was hoping someone could let me know what they are and if they are worth
selling on ebay or if they are so obsolete so nobody would want them.

Part 1 is a UniMacFly monitor converter. It has a 15 pin female conector on
one end (to plug in a PC monitor) and a much larger 15 pin male socket on
the other end. It has eight dip switches in the middle to change screen size
and resoluition according to the table printed on it. Anyone know what it
was used for, if they are still used and if it's worth anything?

Part 2 is a DAD1419 adapter. Is says "PU MAC monitor adapter F/Motorola
clones" and "VGA to MAC motorola adapter". It has a 15 pin male vga socket
on one end and a larger 15 pin female socket on the other end. Anyone know
what it was used for, if they are still used and if it's worth anything?

Cheers

Pete

Yes. It converts an old mac monitor connection to a VGA monitor.
I doubt it is worth much now as there isn't much need for it any more. I
have a few somewhere.

Yes. It converts an old mac monitor connection to a VGA monitor.
It is worth slightly less than the one in the first part, and I have a
few of those somewhere too.

This one connects a (PC) VGA monitor to an old 'beige' Mac.
They were used when VGA was cheap compared to real mac monitor.
It is pretty useless nowadays, few people still run 'beige' Macs,
and if you do, why not connect a second hand real Mac monitor.

This one connects an old 'beige' Mac monitor to a VGA port.
(on a PC or on a more recent Mac)
It may still be quite useful.
Second hand beige Mac CRT-s can be picked up for next to nothing,
and with the adapter they can be used as second screen
next to the DVI or ADC one. (if you have the desktop space)

They serve well for tool palettes, activity monitor, etc.

Best,

Jan

Thanks Jan

Is anyone still selling the DAD1419 adapter in the UK? I was wondering if
it's worth selling on ebay but that depends on what they sell for and how
likely it is to sell. If someone would pay me 3 on ebay I'd put it on -
it's a pint of beer after all. Do you think I'd be wasting my time?
