From: Jay B on 4 Dec 2006 15:51 this is a hardware problem, not software/o.s. clear the nvram, remove/replace the cmos battery. reseat the memory, or just try each memory module separately. it's one of those. what were you doing in the box, you may have blown out the memory by static shock! you can get a dell labeled windows cd from ebay, make sure you get the one that matches your license label on the side of the case. did you reconnect all the power connectors? some of the older dell's had an auxilliary power connector. the error sounds like a memory error, did you try just one memory module?
