I finally gave in and installed IE8 over IE6 and I can't go back now.
Among other things, Youtube no longer plays video with the error message
that begins with Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old
version of .........

I've updated all the Java, Adobe Flash, Reader, programs, checked all
the settings of IE8 to be sure the scripting is allowed but I keep
getting the same message. All Adobe Programs have been uninstalled and
reinstalled.

Help.................
