Hello

OS: Win XP SP3
App. FrontPage 2002

With Frontpage open I want to Insert a database. However Database is
disabled (greyed out). How do I enable the Database item?

Regards
Mike

You need to open FP on a server based web site (not a disc based web sit) that supports databases

Many thanks.

Can I mimic a server based Website on my PC?

Regards
Mike

Depends on the operating system:

Windows XP Home, Vista Home, Windows 7 Home - No

Windows XP Pro - Install IIS and FrontPage 2000 extensions from the Windows CD
Note that FP2000 extensions do not support all the features from FP2002 and later.

Windows Vista (Other versions) - Install IIS from the Vista CD, then FrontPage 2002 extensions from
http://www.iis.net/downloads/default.aspx?tabid=34&g=6&i=1630

Windows 7 (other versions) - Install IIS from the Windows CD, but there are no FrontPage extensions available, which makes it a non-starter for your purposes.
