Hi all,

I want to implement Nav 2009 SP1 in of our Client. They have 10 user license.
I have moved towards the Client with taking Nav 2009 Product DVD only.

Now My questions are as follows :

How Can I install the SQL Server in the Server Pc by using the Nav 2009 SP1
Installer only ?

I have no Other Installer for the SQL Server.

What will be SQL server name, instance name, Nav Server name ? I can not
find the wizard where I can Specify the above names.

Kindly help

Hi,

it seems that You have a internet-connection, so I suggeest to download
SQL-Express 2008 (new Version) including Advanced Management (makes it much
easier to set up Users) from Microsoft.

Hello,

if you have the Nav 2009 DVD, and are not able to locate the directory
of the SQL Server installation routine, you should probably ask your
Dynamics partner company for assistance. They should also know about
server and instance names.

Regards,
Thomas

Install SQL Express
activte TCP/IP in SQL-Configuration-manager
add one user to SQL-Express and grant necessary rights
Install NAV on one client
create Database
Import Demo-DB

But You should find all information also on Your NAV-DVD
