Have solved the problem.

When I am in Print preview the blank page was because
of the settings in Setup.

Once in Page Setup checking the Position box to centre
the image brings up the image as does any sensible location
on the page using Left and Top margins.

For some reason the Position box was not checked and the
margins set were outside the paper area.

But you said no preview not an empty image Or I might have Guessed as once
my margin suddenly changed to 11 inches on the left
