That was a surprise - just tried to open a .mid and been told I need to
installed Quicktime 7. Wonder why that is (and hmm - also, I'm pretty
sure I'd already installed Quicktime 7).

Hmm...but Quick Look, something I never use and just invoked by mistake
right now, -does- play .mid. Strange.
