Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has had this problem, which is 'composition'
works when connecting to RDSH via a Gateway, or directly to RDSH, but when
connecting via RDWEB using the 'Remote Desktop' icon then 'composition' is
off. I have even tried editing the RDP file in
'C:\Windows\Web\RDWeb\Pages\rdp' and adding the 'allow desktop
composition:i:1' option. Note that when connecting via RDWeb the session
depth is 32bit, so this is not the issue.
Config is:
RDWeb, Broker and Gateway running on same server instances running under
Hyper-V
RDSH running on a seperate server instances running under Hyper-V and as
stated above 'composition' does work when RDP directly to or via gateway.
How do I tell RDWeb to allow for composition?

Regards

Are you talking about the Desktops tab? If so, you can set the Performance
option to Satellite, High-speed broadband, WAN, or LAN.

If you're talking about a Desktop published from an RDSH using RemoteApp
Manager, you can use the RD Session Host Server Settings dialog to add the
"'allow desktop composition:i:1" option. Just type it in the Custom RDP
Settings tab.

Hi Rob,
Setting 'allow desktop composition:i:1' option in the Custom RDP Setting tab
solves the problem of 'composition' not working via RDWeb.

Many thanks

I'm glad to hear that solves your problem.
