Cany anyone suggest a fix?

Please describe the problem: On main screen ("Inbox" ), Eudora repeatedly -
every few seconds - start to search for new messages. Icon in bottom R
corner rotates. When closed down I get the message - "you currently have
have two tasks running". This also happens on a Sony Vaio alptop running
Windows Vista!

What version of Eudora are you running? Which mode are you using
(sponsored, paid or light)? 7.1.0.9 Sponsored


Can you consistently duplicate the problem? If so, please list the exact
steps to reproduce the problem. Switch on and wait for a few minutes
