I am upgrading my SBS 2000 to SBS 2003 R2 and received the following error
during the Exchange upgrade. I checked the KB and found 888942 but that did
not fix it.

The error is:

Setup.exe – Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because mssadmws.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Any ideas?

While technically feasible to do an upgrade you're always skating on thin
ice unless your original SBS 2000 is in pristine condition. A migration (the
swing type is highly recommended) is usually better to avoid such potential
problems if your SBS 2000 may have had "hidden" problems.
