With Disk Management running, click Action -> Help.
Click Troubleshooting in the right pane.
Click "A basic disk's status is Not Initialized"
Read and follow.

True, standard Mini-B USB. Blackberry apparently is not.

False, almost certainly. Probably just needs to be initialized,
