When i want to print on a printer connected to a computer on a network i get the
following error message:
"/usr/lib/cups/backend/http failed"
in the log file i read (status1)

the permissions of the file /usr/lib/cups/backend/ipp has nothing to do with
this problem

And do you notice that line

Why not follow that hint?

And what did it say about the missing font file?

Are you running xfs?
ps ax |grep xfs
