I have Microsoft office 2007. When I try to open a PowerPoint file that was
created by an earlier version of Office, I get an error message saying
"PowerPoint can't read the outline from C:\Documents and Settings... No text
converter is installed for this file type. "

Have you applied all Windows and Office updates?

Hi Bill.

Everything is up-to-date here. I don't know what the problem could be.
