hi all,
here is my wlan probem. I have a prism 3886 javelin xbow wireless
network card on an amilo A7640 running Suse 9.3 pro 32 bit version. The
only way i got my card to work was using driverloader. no luck with
ndiswrapper at all after trying. The card picks up my wlan network and
the one from my neighbors too so there is no problem in the card working
and it shows in k-internet and kwifimanager as well that it works.
But when using firefox or nautilus it shows page cannot be found or when
doing a ping the same thing network not found either. All security
settings are turned off along with mac address control and the like too
just like others here have mentioned.
When checking my router it shows that the linux pc is recognized by the
router and it shows the mac address from my notebook as well. All help
is greatly appreciated as i prefer linux over windows and thanks in
advance. Even tried using my router ip address for dns search and the
like, no luck either.
