YIKES! I'm not making sense.... I'm trying to upgrade to OS 2.09

1) Using the HP49G+/50g connectivity kit: ***** instructions here
incomplete*****

I should have looked a little further....

2) Using a SD card
Copy the files: 4950_92.bin and update.scp that are in the zip archive
on a SD card formatted in using the FAT format (not FAT32).
On the calculator, Press and hold the + and - Button and press on the
RESET button using a paper clip or other blunt object.

ok?

This does of course put to waste all the effort that Kinpo spent
on that real extra internal key that Joe Horn found
(they should have put more effort into the visible keys, then,
but now I guess the past is past, so if the key now fits, just press it :)

It's the tiny (paperclip-sized) hole on the back of the calculator.
John's replies are an alternative method that uses a (front side)
series of key-sequences to reset the calculator without having to use
of a paperclip.

Hi there: visited both links and tried the on-D, on-C then the
immediate + & - combination repeatedly with my OS 2.09 HP50g and could
not duplicate your results.
Has anybody else got these instructions to work?

~thanks from franks
