Yup. And there were test messages sent to groups back then.
And folks complained. So alt.test was created to handle it.
But most newbies didn't know about alt.test, so it didn't
do much good.

That's the problem here. I've found it best to simply respond
to the test message and let it go. More time is wasted blasting
the newbie without useful result.
