I also have (2) sets of those speakers. Mine do not have any labeling on
the brick, but rather a small amount of spec information molded into the
brick housing itself - with no color contrast.

Try doing an over wipe with a contrasting color. The pigment will fill in
the embossed letters and they should stand out well enough to read it not to
photograph.

The photo I took using a Sony DSC-W5 worked just fine. The trick is to turn
off the flash, the black plastic was very reflective. The brick puts out 13V
AC. The original poster thought it was DC.
