I created several training presentations in PPT 2003. Each presentation is
linked to a common index file created in PPT 2003 and saved as an HTML
document.

When I open the files in PPT 2007, the link opens the presentation in PPT,
instead of as a full-screen slide show as it did in PPT 2003.

How can I open the presentations from the index file link as a full-screen
slide show?

Thanks!

I'm having a little trouble understanding what's going on here.

It sounds from the first paragraph as though you're using a browser to open
HTML files created from PPT . But in the second paragraph, you say "When I
open the files in PPT 2007 ..."

So can you explain a bit further ... what exactly is going on?

Steve,
(This is about the fifth time I've tried to reply... with no luck the first
four times! LOL!)

I have an index to my training presentations I created in PPT 2003 and saved
it as an html file. In it I have links to the individual presentations.
When I open the index file in IE and click a link (on a computer running
Office 2007), the presentation opens with the preview slides down the left
side of the screen. When I do the same thing on a computer running Office
2003, the presentation opens in a full screen.

The orginal setting for "Slide Show | Set Up Show..." is "Presented by
speaker (full screen)".

Thanks!

Paul

Office 2007 makes some changes to the way PPT opens presentations linked to from a
browser. The rationale escapes me entirely. But there's some more information
about it here:

Control how the browser opens PowerPoint files
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00189.htm

If that doesn't solve the problem, then it may not be soluble, at least with 2007
in place. :-(

Steve,
If it's not solvable, I'll just consider it a "feature" instead of a "glitch".
Thanks!
