[Samba] shadow_copy script example leads to system hang?
I don't know if this was present (maybe not?) when the script was written, but the script for taking a snapshot in the instructions for shadow_copy: that looks like this: ---- xfs_freeze -f /home/ lvcreate -L10M -s -n $SNAPNAME /dev/Home/lvol0 xfs_freeze -u /home/ mkdir /home/shadow_share/@GMT-$SNAPNAME mount /... 4 Feb 2010 23:35
Windows 7 domain logon timeouts was Re: Domain login delays w2k8 R2
Great!!! Your first suggestion (Set maximum wait time...) seems to fix my problem! Now I can turn my attention som some other delays/ performace problems (not w2k8 related). And then there is the small "printing from 64-bit clients" problem... Maybe I will get back to those problems in another post ;-) Thank's a... 4 Feb 2010 20:15

[Samba] idmap backend = rid : moving from samba 3.2 to 3.4 breaks 3.2 idmap RID config
Hi samba folks, We have upgraded samba 3.2 to samba 3.4 and it has broken our idmap RID backend config. The below idmap configuration was being used for samba 3.2 with two domains: idmap domains = QA2K3192, QA2K3SUB19 idmap config QA2K3SUB192:range = 2000000 - 2999999 idmap config QA2K3SUB192:base_rid =... 4 Feb 2010 16:51

However- I can't join the other domain- because no DNS entry exists. The strange thing is they both broadcast thei... 4 Feb 2010 13:27
