This seems to have happened a couple of times to me and some others, so
There must have been some hiccups with the server. Who knows?

Glad you got back with some memoirs of your most likely "once in a lifetime"
trip.

Thanks George, and a Happy New Year to you.

As to the "once in a lifetime" quality of my trip, that is not quite
how I would describe it. I am a frequent visitor to Africa and have
many friends there. It was just that there had been sometime between my
last visit in 2001 and this one. My retirement gave me an open calender
to plan a visit this year.
I have no intention of visiting in 2010 with the World Cup on the go
and much price gouging across the board.
Maybe early 2011 for another visit to South Africa, until then some
domestic travels and/or a visit to some other friends in Malaga and the
UK.
